Today, for the first time in my life, I attended a master class with an animator. During the master class, I learned a lot of new things that I hadn't thought about at all before. It would seem that what could be easier than drawing an ordinary little man? Not everything is as simple as it seems. The proportions and position of body parts relative to each other are extremely important. All this affects the perception of the image by a person. The further and deeper a part of the body is, the more it needs to be darkened and vice versa. Thus, the resulting character looks more lively and interesting. Moreover, I was amazed that when creating a character it is important to take into account the laws of physics. Body weight affects gait, movement, and many other things. I also learned the basic principles and got a foundation for creativity.
When creating a character, simple geometric shapes are first used and only then other details are added. Anatomy, physics, mathematics, biology ... All subjects are important for creating a hero. Therefore, it is important to be a versatile and passionate person.
